Road To the Jungle Sour Ale

This is a beer I bought during my last trip to Jungle Jim's and am finally getting a chance to try. Looking for something light and refreshing tonight, I'm pouring this into a snifter. Right away, it is a pink and visciously bubbly draught, living up to the description on the can as well as its pink label. There is no head to speak of, but the bubbling lasts long after it has been poured. The smell is that of fruit... strawberry for sure, but I am probably getting the pineapple as well. It almost muddles into a banana sort of odor. Unfortuantely, I couldn't tell you the exact scent of the particular varieties of strawberry and pineapple used here. The taste is quite light to me, perhaps what you would expect of a Berliner Weisse. It's not all that sour. It is definitely tart, but it's pretty tame. Very easy to drink. It has a light body with a certain sweet/sour aftertaste. I would s ay it's a fairly standard sour, smooth and crushable.

Well, glad I caught this at the store. First beer from this brewery, wish I could have gotten to try the other collabs they did with JJ's.
