part of their american sour series, the first i can remember seeing in a can, and a cool beer, true enough to the dessert i guess, but with this much sweetness and this high abv, its not more than a novelty to me, not as drinkable as most others i have had, although i respect it for getting the flavors right. lots of vanilla in it, and a slightly darker color than i thought it would have, a crust sort of malt profile which is a cool layer. lemon abounds in the nose, real sour lemon juice in here for sure, and more lactose than i think is necessary, this is really sweet from top to bottom. i wish it wasnt sugary, because the vanilla with the sourness is pretty cool, sweet enough on its own, and the lemon sort of bridges the gap between the vanilla and the acid, its smart up until its sugary, i think they get enough of that from the malt too. clean souring like always from these guys, fresh fruit evident, and overall a cool idea thats very well executed, but its strong and sweet, fun to pass around but a whole can would feel like a lot of this one to me...
