you really cant be a brewery in 2019 without making a new england ipa i guess, as the cherished loveland has now jumped on the bandwagon, offering yet another samey entry into the most crowded space in beer right now. this is not who these guys are, and it shows in the beer. the hop profile is citra, simcoe, and mosaic, anyone had these three together before? yeah, anyone who has ever tried one of these! the enormous dry hopping, obvious freshness, and total absence of bitterness are all enjoyable features of the beer, and i do like the citra seemingly leading the way in front of a couple of usually more robust counterparts, but this beer has been made a million times or more already, im not sure why they felt they need to make it again. the name suggests poking some fun at the crowd of people who swear by these, but the beer falls right into line. a little darker and thicker than it needs to be, but a nice head on it from the can with fine lace. known hop profile, but the beer does taste fresh, and the high blast of carbonation is appreciated to help lighten it up a little bit. this is fine beer, nothing wrong with it, these guys will probably never make a bad beer, but it feels forced to me, like somewhat of an identity crisis from a brewery who has a great identity already. why must everyone follow this trend?
