Brevard Brewing Company's flagship beer, the Bohemian Pilsner is everything that beer should be. Cold lager fermentation and a medium-light body produce a crisp, clean, and smooth mouthfeel. Imported noble hops from the Czech Republic and Germany lend a floral aroma and spicy hop flavor, while extremely soft brewing water creates soft, round flavors. This beer is the perfect marriage of flavor and drinkability.

Purchased as a single can from Ingles for $1.78. Poured into a pils glass.
L - Pours a beautiful clear gold with a one-finger flour-white head.
S - Crackers and biscuit. An overall clean floral quality.
T - Sweet malty start, with a bitter (yet not overwhelming) hoppy finish. Starts off with a floral breadiness, and ends with an earthy freshly-baked biscuit. The bitterness lingers, but it's quite pleasant. A faint hint of honey throughout.
F - Medium body, with medium carbonation. Feels heavier than it is.
O - I'd be willing to argue that this is the best pilsner I've had so far in the area. Not necessarily the "definitive" pils, but very good indeed. Highly recommend.

Picked up as part of a mixed 12-pack from the Ingles on Spartanburg Highway 8-30-21 for 17.99. Born on 6-15-21; consumed 9-19-21.
Beer poured golden with a nice white head that is leaving lacing behind.
Nose is a nice combination of crackers and bread. Noble flowery hops lend a nice freshness.
Taste is classic Czech pils. The malt baseline lends a very nice crackers and white bread baseline and the Saaz hops lend to a nice spiced hop finish; 6/10 on my bitterness scale.
Mouthfeel is crisp and light leading to a palate cleansing finish.
Overall a really well done pils. The brewmaster really does lagers very well!

Purchased a six pack of this beer at the brewery in July. Poured from a can into a tulip glass. Clear golden yellow with decent initial head and lacing. Pleasant sweet grassy smell. Follows to taste but a bit subdued. Reasonable feel and overall not a bad pilsner.

Brevard Brewing Pilsner - their flagship brew- 12 oz. can into 12oz. pub glass...A decent white foamy head formed on a calm pour that is faded pretty fast.
Light Golden , crystal clear. Single bubbles climbing steadily...
The full menu of traditional aromas are there..... bready correct authentic malts, the noble hops...so good.
Taste comes in a little hoppier than expected -or more than most pilsners I've been having...with that peppery chop to keep the malt sweets checked down and then a crisp finish. Slightly more body than I think I want, but this may help balance the hop's cut. Seems like they opted for some bright hops instead of more carbonation , and that's also a nice traditional tip.
Develops as it goes and gets better til the end...pop another!
Really awesome Pilsner, and highly recommended !

i am pretty shocked to see the super low ratings here, i think this is way better than it appears to be here, very fresh, flavorful, and classic to the old world, it could borderline be mistaken for an import, and i think in this style that is a compliment. blonde and clear, not a lot of head but definitely a lot of bubbles, sexy from the tap. aroma of classic, super light and dry pils malt, genuine noble hops, and the whole thing presents itself as fresh, even at a sort of divey place thats only pseudo beery. its crackery and dry in flavor, easy drinking and fun, flavorful and a throwback to old worldy pils types but not without carving out its own little niche. i am surprised others havent responded to this one more favorably. it is my first beer from brevard, and i think its excellent. nothing real out of the ordinary, but there doesnt need to be a plot twist for a solid beer to exist, especially in this style. its clean and easy, a nice compliment to basic bar food, cuts the grease and doesnt fill the belly. i liked this, get hip to it, its a nice example of the style!

Fantastic pils, easily the best in Asheville area. Greatly balanced, softly floral, crisp. Would love this canned. Beer is approachable while still being well crafted.

This is a classic Pilsner malt beer with a crackery, bready and malty backbone. It's a bit watery for a flagship beer but it comes down smooth and easy.

Not sure what's up with all the low scores for this one. One of the best pilsners I've ever had. I'm not much of a lager guy, but this one does it for me. Nice malt base with biscuity, bready notes and a complementing slight hop bitterness. Great stuff. Don't pass it up if you have the chance to try it.
