Bought a six pack of this beer at the brewery in July. This is my last one.
Very good looking beer with a dark reddish brown color and nice initial head and good lacing. Slightly sweet toasted biscuit smell and taste. A bit earthy. Nice bitter finish. It makes excellent, crowd pleasing beer bread!

Picked up a 12 oz can as part of a mixed six-pack from Ingles Supermarket beer cooler on Highland Lake Road in Flat Rock on 6-16-21 for $10.98. No can date; consumed 7-29-21. Cold stored since purchase.
Beer poured brown with a nice off white head with the original pour.
Nose is nice, bready with hints of chocolate.
Taste is really well done. Medium toasted bread malt base is infused nicely with a chocolate tinged malt addition. Finishes really well balanced with the help of the toasted malts.
Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and pretty smooth and refreshing.
Overall totally dig this beer! Really well made. Definitely have to try others from this German style brewery!

This is a great Munich Dunkel. Brevard does a great job at brewing lagers.

A: Pours a crystal clear medium to dark mahogany in color with light to moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising slowly from the bottom of the glass and moderate ruby red + chestnut brown colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall fizzy sudsy foamy beige head that quickly reduces to a couple of small patches of very thin film and a very thin ring at the edges of the glass. Minimal amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of toasted + bready + caramel + chocolate malts with very light amounts of caramel sweetness. Light aromas of lager yeast and a very light amount of earthy + spicy hops.
T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of toasted + bready + caramel + chocolate malts with very light amounts of caramel sweetness. That is followed by light flavors of lager yeast. Finally there is a very light flavor of earthy + spicy hops which contribute a very light amount of bitterness which does not linger for too long.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Very slight amounts of dryness in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a lighter less sweet mouthfeel. Enjoyable and a very nice example of the style from an American brewery.

Revisiting this a few months after a GREAT first impression...
Looks transparent rusty brown, pours a fair head into mug. Head fades too fast, no lacing.
Smell is a faint but wonderful malty autumnal joy, it's just too faint. Gets richer throughout the glass, as it rooms up.
Taste is quality chocolate and Munich malt, and quality finish and feel. Almost thought it needed more fizz, but it really doesn't need to hide behind bubbles, it's great.
overall, I adjusted it down a few sips from before (I have since had Wedge Dunkel), but still very good.
Needs some crispness, less sweetness , but good.

This is the best Dunkel that I've had in the USA. Honestly if it had a better mouth feel it might be the best Dunkel I've ever had. And I've had the chance to spend a few weeks traveling in Germany and Austria. Good flavor, color, smell and taste at a great price, all in a nice low key local brewery.
