Pours a deep, dark caramel brown. Good bar-pour head that settles to rim bubbles. Left some chunky ring lace.
They're brewing today, so I am mostly smelling sweet wort. I believe this has little sweetness to the nose. Low hop.
The taste is quite dry. The bitterness really comes through--mostly black pepper. Leans to the thin side with good carbonation. Long peppery aftertaste.
