Some small streaks on the glass from the very small rim-only head. Deep dark brown where light only shines through the edge.
The smell, to me, is silky. That is smooth with a sugary base. Lots of darker malts.
I'd describe this as a sweet porter. There's a definitive dark chocolate base. But it seems as if there's an addition kick if simple white sugar. There's also a solid hop kick in the swallow. Body is thin and the carbonation middle of the road.

Had at Hingham location. Above average porter with chocolaty notes. The rye is subtle until the end at it is more prominent but never overwhelming. Would have liked to taste more rye, but this is a decent beer.
