Light brown color and clear. Rim bubbles and no lace.
Oddly, I think I smell cigarette smoke. There's a bit of dark chocolate that helps this out dramatically. Dry nose.
The flavor starts off innocently with a neutral amber malt base. But the cocoa flavor completely takes over quickly. Reminds me of me Ovaltine. The lightest of hop shows up in the swallow. Served warm. Almost flat from the cask conditioning.
