Served in a 12 oz (355 ml) pub glass at the Boston Beers Works at 61 Brookline Avenue in Boston.
A: Pours a hazy golden orange color with a one half inch, fluffy white head, excellent retention, and excellent lacing all the way down the glass.
S: Aromas a melange of orange, grapefruit, mango, and pineapple. Honeysuckle maltiness.
T: Semi dry. Flavor largely follow the nose. Excess sweetness offset by excellent white pepper bitterness. Complex and delicious.
M: Medium bodied with strong, persistent carbonation.
O: Lived around the corner when BBW opened in 1992, but had not been in the area in years. Its heartening to see that it continues to offer high quality craft beers.

On tap at Salem Beer Works. Clear golden color. Hoppy but not fruity, not great aftertaste.

Tap at Framingham beer works
Light fizzy head, murky reddish orange color
Nose big fresh hops, lots of citrus candied orange peel, some tropical notes like pineapple and faint mango, some grapefruit and tangerine, sweet reddish malt
Taste more big hops, candied orange peel, zest, grapefruit, little pithy, faint tropical mango puree, tangerine, generic fruit punch like, fair bitterness, little sweet reddish malt, hops get a bit spicy on the finish, little resin note, mostly citrus zest lingering.
Mouth is med bod, decent carb
Overall not that bad for an ipa, but this doesn't hold a candle to the good New England ipas, it's almost like a cross between New England style and east coast style.
