Had this at the Boston Beer Works location at Fenway off the "Hoppy Beer" flight. The beer definitely stood out from its fellow flight beers , but it served as a good closer. The beer had a dark brown color appearance with a small, bubbly head. Aromas included a slight burnt coffee with malts and chocolate. Taste and body had a dessert-like quality when paired with my meal. The beer was bittersweet with malts, coffee, and cocoa. The beer body included medium carbonation to a creamy texture drink. Overall, a good drink to the end the night.

Dark brown color where light shines through the edge. Good ring lace. Small head that settles to ring bubbles.

Deep toasted malt aroma. Semisweet chocolate but not much hop bitterness.

The flavor is more bitter hop but the predominate taste is the darker malts--Chocolate and heavily roasted Crystal. There may even be some black patent to provide bitterness. The body is thin but the carbonation is high.
