The initial head dies quickly and completely. No lace. Cloudy, orange-amber color.
Initial smell of pale malt gives way to a strong grapefruit rind aroma.
While advertised as an "American IPA meets British Malts & Yeast", this beer's hop makes it seem very much like a western US IPA. There's a bitter juiciness to this--a bit of fruity sweetness completely dominated by the bitter hop bomb. Long aftertaste, naturally. The lower carbonation makes the body seem a little watery. The prickly hop complements the carbonation.
