Pint on tap in a becker at the Boston Beer Works by Fenway.
Appearance: Pours a clear brown/rust with a minimal head that disappears quickly. Ringed lacing left behind.
Aroma: Very heavy on vanilla with a solid malt backbone. Sweet. Smells like cream soda. Chalkboard says "chocolate/vanilla/brewed with lactose milk sugar/cacao nibs." I believe it.
Taste: Tastes like cream soda in beer form. Sweet, but not cloying. Chocolate and malt are present, but vanilla dominates. Low bitterness (IBU 15).
Mouthfeel: Smooth and easy. Sessionable.
Overall: Fun "wacky" beer from this Boston mainstay. Wouldn't have it every day, but would have it again. Pretty much a dessert beer, but works with a meal, too.
