Described by the chalk board as a holiday ale. Described by the bartender as a Red IPA.
Deep dark amber color, like dirty copper. Clear. Lasting but small head. Little lasting lace -- just a couple of spots.
Mostly malty (crystal sweetness) aroma. Good hoppy nose afterwards.
Solid malt base but with a solid hop bitterness. Very much like the smell. I like the balance between the two. Good body with an average carbonation level. Malty finish with a strongly bitter aftertaste.
