From the chalk board: hoppy brown ale, some fruit character with resiny American hops and a hint of toasted oak.
Light brown color. Hard to tell if there is a haze but the light passes through the center of the glass easily. Substandard head and absolutely no lace.
Darker, but drier, malt aroma. Light hop.
Dry, earthy, strong caramel beer flavor. It's not like any Brown Ale I've had before because of the strong hop bitterness and the extraordinary dryness. Fuller bodied than most Browns. Lower carbonation as well. Overall, I wonder if there's any rye in this beer
