Served in a 10 ounce tulip glass, as described by the sign, "Imperial Red IPA, LOTS of caramel malts loaded with sticky hops."
Deep brown color and clear. Nice starting head which fades to rim bubbles. Only a couple of slippery spots on the glass.
The aroma is very mild with a caramel malt smell. No notable hop.
The flavor is darker than the smell with a borderline semisweet chocolate earthiness base. The hop is distinctive but subtle for the style. Moderate body and carbonation. The finish has a dryish caramel with white pepper.
