Donned my Weekly Dig long sleeve black T with this one on 3/13/2007. 12-oz. goblet pour at the Canal Street location.
Was told this was a blending of the Blonde Faith and the Cherry bomb, which would make this a Belgian mash up. Enticing ½-inch of froth settles to a fine bead coat, hypoallergenic with full-on stick. Holy ruby red hue, Batgirl, almost neon, just beautiful, with some light haze, like diffuse light from a fog shrouded London gas light; not a whole lot going on, or that was perceptible. Tart orange and persimmons on the nose, with a brandy backing and some Sour Patch Kids sweet chewiness. Damn, the cherry essence tart absolutely curls the tongue up, with tonsils splicing, initially, but cooled off by some level malt backing and a thin sugar water addition. Light bodied.
Far too tart for more than one, but an interesting pour nonetheless.

Appearance: reddish looking beer that looks like a fruit cocktail. Short 1/4" head falls quickly. No lacing develops.
Smell: slightly tart cherries are easy to pick up.
Taste: the cherry tones are a bit sour and are up front while there is some overripe fruit sweetness in the background. There is a mild spicy yeast flavor throughout, and a dash of pepper at the finish. No real bitterness here either. A slight hint of alcohol is present.
Mouthfeel: nicely crisp at the start, crisp and a bit dry at the finish. Light-medium in body. Aftertaste is long with the cherry flavors.
Drinkability: this is a one glass beer that was a nice change of pace from the usual Beer Works offerings. Worth a try.

One of the prettiest looking beers I've seen, a reddish cloudy haze glows from within, with a pink thick bubbly head. Has a big cherry head, sour, and a little yeasty. The tastes echoes this, a nice spicy flavor with big big sour cherry flavor. A fairly crisp mouthfeel, and pretty drinkable.
