As the name says - it pours a clear gold, small head that quickly dissipates to a white cap.
Lightly floral hopped aroma with a touch of biscuity malt.
Taste is malty, breadlike with a slight touch of lemon.
Very clean tasting, very drinkable. My girlfriend who doesn't like beer, liked this. Light feel to it.

I remember going to the Boston Garden and there was nothing close to this good ever offered there. This would however be a great beer to drink while watching a game. You don't have to think about it.

Had on tap at Hingham location

Appearance: 1/4 inch head, low carbonation, gold in color, clear

Smell: toasted malt and honey, grain

Taste: rice, grain, skunk, and hay

Mouthfeel: sweet and skunky bitter, light in body, low carbonation

Overall: I can appreciate a good macro lager, and if you are in love with mass produced adjunct in the style of Molson and Labatt, then this is your beer. It reminded me of them with a bit extra skunking. Worst beer I have had in a while and one that I will avoid in the future.

Served in 4oz sample glass.

A: Pale golden color, crystal clear. Little head, not lacing.

S: Mild floral aroma, nothing else very noticeable.

T: Nice sweet malt upfront, not bitter at low (probably a very low IBU)

M: Crisp, smooth, maybe a little under-carbonated (only slightly)

D: I would prefer a higher IBU, but I could do a session.

A: Light, golden yellow. Highly filtered. Slight foam on top clings to the rim of the glass, but slides down the sides.

S: Sweet but watery. Faint honey undertone.

T: VERY sweet at first, all honey. Watery I guess, but not in a bad way. More of a refreshing watery than anything. Well-balanced.

M: Well-carbonated. Honey aftertaste.

D: Very quaffable, sweet. Good session beer. Also good for spicy foods. This would be a great beer to give someone who has only had the big macros, and you are trying to get to move to craft beers.

Sample at Beer Works Fenway: Pours a shiny golden color with medium thin white head and little lacing. Grassy hops aroma. Light-bodied and easy on the palate with mild hops and sweet malt flavors. The finish is effervescent and mildly sweet. This beer won’t win any awards but it’s pretty good as an introduction to the brewpub’s lineup.

I don't think this is an APA. It sure doesnt taste like one. It is gold as described. The smell and taste are of mild malt w/o much hops to speak of. It has that nice biscuitty thing working and also seems to finish clean and crisp. Another BBW offering that seems a lot better than I remember it being the last time I tried it. Real smooth and easy to drink--seems like it would be good for a wide variety of food pairings. A nice session golden. I wish they served it at the Boston Garden as the name suggests.

Tasted On-Tap 09/30/05 at the Boston Beer Works - Fenway in Boston, MA.

Light golden color with a low white head... Decent grainy malt aroma and flavor with no hop character noticeable to me. Light bodied but a much nicer Golden Ale than the Bambino Ale.

Per BBW website: Boston Garden Golden
A classic American amber ale, a well balanced blend of malt and hop flavors with a subtle bitter finish from both the hops and roasted malts. Discover America's brewing renaissance with our flagship beer.

Sorry, this one wasn't all that. Not horrible, but not overly tasty either. Pour was...golden in color. It came with a pronounced grainy aroma. Taste was slightly sweet, but mostly all grain. Unfortunately "Grain" dominated the aroma, mouthfeel and taste, and seemed a bit out out place.
