This stands as one of my hands down favorite beers of all time. It is hard to describe the flavor. Nice nutty flavor that is crisp but also a bit bitter. Nice golden color. Small head that lasts shortly. I could drink this all day. The best Kolsch I have tasted. Great beer!

Bright golden, thin white foam lace. Aroma is clean, slightly fruity -- like opening a tin of mixed-fruits, but faint.
Crispy, creamy and prickly on the palate. Fruity, like a mild unripe peach or nectarine. Malt sweetness and hop bitterness is low. A very dry beer from start and right into the its grainy finish.
A solid Kölsch, very refreshing and drinkable.

Had on tap at Hingham location
Appearance: minimal head and carbonation, gold in color, clear
Smell: citrus hops, light floral hops
Taste: grapefruit, reisling grapes, and citrus hops--very interesting
Mouthfeel: nice mix of sweet and bitter, light in body, low carbonation
Overall: I really like the kolsch style, so while this rating is not great, I find this beer to be really interesting and enjoyable. I just find this style to be very diverse and having several great examples of the style. Yes there are several better kolsch beers that I have had, but this bring out different and enjoyable elements. If they bottled this one, I would certainly no hesitate to buy a six.

Gold with a thin white head. Nice lacey net cast at glass top. Aroma is faint fruit tin. Tastes is smooth, slightly tinny malt and a swampy eurohop in back. Not as crisp or as dry as I'd like.
I just realized today is IPA day and I had a kolsch.

Consumed on 4/17 this beer is back.
A: This beer pours a clear yellow golden color with a one finger of white head. Head recedes nicely and leaves wispy lacing on the glass.
S: Nose is of grain, malt, and a hint of citrus bite.
T: Taste starts off nice and sublte, pale malts come through here. Grain, and cereal fill out the middle. In the later part of the middle through the finish is a nice hop bite that really pulls nicely with the grain.
M: Light body, medium carbonation, somewhat creamy on the tongue with a nice dry finish.
D: This is a nicely balanced kolsch, nice representation of the style and could seriously sit with a bunch of these on a hot summer day.

Pours a clear gold with a stark white head. I thought the appearance was rather beautiful.
Fruity (plum?) aroma.
Fruit flavors grow in the taste. Plum, a little lemon, peach. A little sour. The malt flavor is all light malts.
Light feel to it, very dry and crisp.
I'm not a Kolsch fan, and I still found this to be a good and easy one to drink.

Received a pale yellow brew with a slight foam head. Some splashy lace.
Some of the grape-viney thing going on, but I'm not sure that I'd have noticed it if I wasn't looking for it.
Pale malt, some cracker and bread notes, which lead to a bit a bready sweetness. Hops come up with some firm bitterness. A little mineral note in there as well. Finishes moderately bitter and fairly clean.
Lighter bodied. Good carbonation.
Decent, but a little on the lighter side (even for a Kolsch). The right characteristics prevail and make this one pretty drinkable. Some flaws, but otherwise a very decent, solid brew.

Poured a cleary yellow body with a small head that goes away quickly on top of a light, airy, grassy hop aroma. Easy to drink light body that has some light spices and grainy, grassy hop bite w/ a touch of sweetness. Nice balance, and while light in the taste dept. this is a nice beer to enjoy.

Had this at the Fenway location and was pleasantly surprised. Golden and clear when poured, no head. Aroma was of floral hops meets grain bin. A bit sweet when tasted, but also finishing with some floral hop notes. Medium body, and pretty darn good for an American version. Would get again. pat

Served in a tall cylindrical tumbler.
It pours the palest golden straw color possible with a snow-white head. Lots of sticky and trailing lacing throughout.
A cut grass smell is upfront, followed by a bit of barn hay and dried malt. A light whiff of citrusy hop mixes in, as does a faint metallic smell.
The malty dextrose taste is noticed first. Lime-like citrus and a touch of a metallic tang poke through.
Dry and crisp at early, it's very balanced as it warms.
So nice!
