Deep copper color. Clear. Good ring of lace on the initial sip, spots thereafter.
Very mild smell--quite neutral.
Semi dry base that leaves a lip smacking aftertaste. The hop is present but not excessive. Moderate but lasting aftertaste. Good body with low carbonation.

The beer pours a surprisingly vigorous head that is bubbly and foamy and white. The beer itself is a deep and dark copper to a dark ruby. The beer is clear. The beer has a strong malty smell that has a bit of hops. The taste of the beer is similar to the small. The beer has a strong malty taste but the taste is.closer to a sweet taste aith ander taste of toast. Hops are there but they are minimal. Hoppy aftertaste. The feel is medium bodied and smooth with a clean finish. Overall, a pretty fantastic commons and worth it.

Received a glass of very pale brew. Not amber, not gold, somewhere in between. Slight head. No lace.
Some very light fruit aromas. Moderate malty note.
Very thin beer. Lean, almost watery. Some caramel and fruit, mingled with grain and bread, with a moderate bitter finish.
Lighter bodied, good carbonation.
I want to like this one. Has alot of great elements, and still misses. Too watery, too lean.

I had this on-tap in a big pint glass at the Beer Works in Logan airport.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a haze-free body and a light effervescence. Head is a thin layer of white foam.
Smell: malty with a slightly sour grainy character. Overall it's a bit muted; OK but not great.
Taste: quite sweet malt with a very light fruity character and just a hint of graininess. Hop presence is minimal but there's a little balancing bitterness at the end. Not too bad.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a light, prickly effervescence. Refreshing enough!
Overall: this is a straight middle of the road California common; maybe not a destination beer but it will do in a pinch.
