On cask at Fenway Beer Works on 8/4/07.
A: Pours a solid black with hints of ruby. Thin head with little lacing.
S: Not much aroma. A little bit of a bourbon-like smell, with a little bit of oak.
T: Nothing spectacular here. A bit of bourbon, some burnt malt, a little bit of vanilla, and some oak. Not overly well-balanced, but ok. Could be much better.
M: Thinner than I'd expect for the style, and without much of a bite. A little disappointing.
D: Goes down easy, but given the lack of a good taste, it's not really worth going back to.
