Walked into the Beantown pub with a friend while I was visiting Boston on memorial day weekend. This ale was on tap there and the only draft they served that I've never had. Got it in a pint. Brownish in color, descent fluffy white head.
Didn't really pay much attention to the smell to be honest. Upon tasting it I thought it might have been some sort of Pale Ale or IPA because of the hoppyness.
Didn't find out it was specially brewed by Sam Adams until I read yelp. I will say it was a quality brew and that I would recommend drinking it again. Also, noticed that the foam left white ring around the pint as I drank it down, symbol of a quality brew using quality yeast.
