Too sweet, but palatable airport fare at Logan.
Poured from tap into an I pint glass.
A) dark black with a single finger of foamy brown head which washes lace on one side of glass.
S) smell is of milky, chalky chocolate with malt and no hop.
T) Milk chocolate and an too sweet core of caramel. too much like chocolate shake.
F) beer is sweet, but not cloying, smooth, and offers a little hop uptilt at the finale.

Had @ Hingham location. Served into a pint glass.
Appearance: dark brown in color, clear, 1/4 inch head, medium carbonation
Smell: milk chocolate
Taste: coffee at the start followed by milk chocolate giving way to cream
Mouthfeel: medium body, medium carbonation, sweet with roasty bitterness
Overall: A very good combination of coffee roast and milk chocolate. Not Beer Works best, but it is up there. I would get this again.

The beer pours a dark black color with a thick frothy tan head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is decent. It has a sweet chocolate and lactose aroma. It seems a bit overly so. The taste is average. It has a very sweet lactose character that really over powers everything else. There is a decent chocolate and black malt flavor, but the milk taste is too much. The mouthfeel is decent as well. It is a full bodied beer with adequate carbonation. This is an average beer at best. It's too damn sweet for me.

Poured from the tap into a pint glass.
The color is a dark black with a single finger of foamy light brown head.
The smell is of slight chocolate ans some malty flavor in the background.
The taste was a little muted, chocolate and some caramel flavor and some slight bitterness. A little bit of creamy flavor also hinted in the flavor.
The beer was smooth but not very. An underlying aftertaste left me wondering what was that defining character in the aftertaste. Never quite placed it but overall, not a bad beer.

Brewed as part of their " February Is Stout Month" 2009 lineup. Served in a 16 oz glass. Dull brown color. Thin white head. Smelled sweet, like chocolate milk in a beer glass. I actually thought the taste was better than I expected. I thought it would be too sweet, or not sweet at all. Instead, it was just a right mix of milk chocolate and bittersweet chocolate. It has a nice, smooth, creamy taste too it, but it was not overwhelming. This is not a beer you are going to drink all night, but it was nice after a meal. A pretty tasty dessert beer.
