Pours a cloudy orange-amber, head is off white and thin.
Belgian aroma over IPA. Smells like a Belgian amber, plenty of notes from the yeast and a malty breadiness.
Taste is a mix of spicy Belgian phenols and citrusy American hops when it's colder, but hitting room temp it's mainly spicy phenols and a sort of earthy hoppiness. I'd like to know what hops went into this, because it's an interesting change.
Hmm, but now I'm getting grapefruit zest and pith again.
Medium bodied overall, but for an IPA it's full.
Drinkability improves as it warms. The beer really changes with warmth.
Overall I like it, it's a good first attempt but could use some tweaking.
But to style, it's too full, and for the style that reduces it's drinkability.
