I managed to get a hold of this Imperial Red in a growler given to me for Christmas. I don't know but that it might be a seasonal, or even a limited, brew.
Anyway, it is well worth the effort to get a hold of.
It pours a somewhat cloudy brownish red with a modest tan head. The aroma is exquisite -- a very profound but not cloying hoppiness dominates. The taste measures up, and one gets the sensation a multiple hops used in this brew, though the US west coast variety seem strongest. The mouthfeel is clean, if a bit thick.
Don't drink too many though. This is no session ale.
