Had at Hingham location..Was advertised as cask conditioned and bourbon barrel. Did not taste any of the bourbon barrel

Appearance: 1/3 inch head, moderate carbonation, tan in color, clear

Smell: citrus hops

Taste: citrus hops and grapefruit dominate with a touch of toasted malt

Mouthfeel: bitter with a touch of sweetness, light body, medium carbonation

Overall: An average grapefruit forward IPA. IPA has a lot of good examples in the style and this one is very middle of the road. Nothing offensive but nothing to seek out either.

Cask pour in a tumbler pint, the beer is a hazed, cloudy, orange copper coloring with a filmy, frothy, off-white head. Aromas of resiny wet hops and floral, spiced hops with a solid toffee backbone. Flavors are hop forward, with more of the resiny and bitter characteristics, with a butter and toffee backbone. Slight grassy highlights with hints of citrus. Tangy sweet and bitter aftertaste one a thin, slightly dry body. Smooth, slightly dry finish. Solid beer that reminds me of English style IPAs.

Nearly no head, but the rim retains some bubbles which leaves some modest lace spots. Cloudy orange-amber color.

Great grapefruit smell. (I was told that is the Citrus Hops). Regardless, it is pleasant and inviting.

Very nicely balanced. Strong malt start (almost creamy), the bitterness shows up in the swallow and lasts a very long time. The body is solid and the carbonation is very low like a cask conditioned beer should be. Also, it is served appropriately warm.
