Had on tap at the brewery—served into a pint glass--described as a Belgian Golden Ale
Appearance: ¼ inch head, moderate carbonation, gold in color, murky
Smell: apple and hay
Taste: crushed fermenting apple dominates with a bit of hay, some wheat, and banana at the end
Mouthfeel: medium-light body, sweet start—bitter middle, less bitter end, medium carbonation
Overall: Interesting and above average. This beer wants to be a bit of everything and seems to do so. Almost like a cross between a hefe and a quad. The flavors are all there. I am not sure they come together as much as I would like, but this is a solid brew. This blows their regular Belgian out of the water. I might get this again for the interesting taste, but may just as well pass. Excellent effort.
