Had a 12oz serving on tap at the Lowell Beer Works today ($6.00) during lunch with Artied2...
Had a small tulip with a clear, medium-deep chestnut brew filling the glass. Head was wispy-thin and off-white, with decent lacing. Light sweetness came forth in the aroma, along with some caramel. Medium bodied, it also was pretty good on the tongue, the prickle factor being low.
Semi-sweet in the taste, it also had caramel and some toffee malts leading the way. Found little in the way of peaty/smokiness, though. Thought it possessed more of a clovey/spicy character. Decent overall... Prosit!!

Had on tap at the Hingham location—served into a pint glass
Appearance: minimal head and carbonation, orange-brown in color, cloudy
Smell: earth and floral smells
Taste: starts with a big taste of earth which is followed by caramel and a high dose of lavender, a slight hoppy presence happens at the end.
Mouthfeel: very sweet with slight hoppiness at the end, moderate-low carbonation, medium bodied
Overall: I am a big fan of lavender as a flower and scent. This beer has a huge dose of it on top of being a well made wee-heavy. I will get this one again just for the lavender taste…Not the best Beer Works December beer, but certainly up there.
