Cloudy orange-amber color. Very cloudy. Modest head that lasts forever. Little lace.
Impressive smell of grapefruit and pine from the hops.
Very hoppy--lots of dry orange rind flavor. Strong lingering alcohol warmth in the swallow. The aftertaste is surprisingly short, but very bitter. Rich and quite smooth for strong a beer.
Stylistically, this is one of my favorites. This is one of the better ones of the style.
