Interestingly, this beer is not on the nitro-tap. The Crimson Clover (an Irish Red) is.
Pours with a very modest, beige head, but it does leave plenty of stringy blankets of lace. Dark brown color, but light does pass on the sides.
Smells like crème brûlée: plenty of molten sugars. Nice dollop of cream to the nose also. Relatively mild.
The flavor matches the smell, but more so. Lots of burnt caramel with enough sweetness to provide balance. The finish has a flash of the black patent bitterness that seems to last a long time.
