Poured from a cask into a tumbler, the beer is a light, bright, hazelnut-brown coloring with a thin, frothy, off-white head. Aromas are rich vanilla, maple, and a woody character. Smells great! Flavors are light and smooth, with a creamy backbone supporting the dark vanilla sweetness, earthy and woody characteristics, and slight hint of dark coffee bitters. Great layered lacing on the glass as you drink. The aftertaste is like chocolate milk, with a creamy overtone. Smooth, rich finish leaves the palate clean. Tasty brew!
