Surprisingly small head given that this is a wheat based beer. It settles to no bubbles and no lacing.
Sweet and milky smell. Very light wheat nose.
Quite sour in flavor. Not sure what they're trying to create here but it's not a weizenbock. It's perhaps closer to a Flemish sour but not really. Good body but lowly carbonated. Overall, a clear miss.

Part of the wheat beers of July series--served into a tulip
Appearance: 1/2 inch head, moderate carbonation, orange-brown in color, hazy
Smell: big alcohol smell with some wheat
Taste: alcohol and grassy hops to start. Once the beer warms there is some Belgian spices, dark wheat, citrus, banana, and clove.
Mouthfeel: sweet start with a bitter middle and a less bitter end, medium carbonation and bodied
Overall: An average to above average weizenbock that gets better as it warms. The beer has some of the company taste of Beer Works. Not a bad beer and one that is worth trying once, but there are better in the style and at Beer Works.
