Crystal clear reddish amber hue, tight lacing that left rings partly the way down the glass. Creamy malt aroma of toasted grain and caramel, a woody hop and light fruitiness show some freshness of the brew.
Stable medium body from the malt, caramel and toasted bready grain are thrown at the taste buds. Hint of alcohol and fruitiness in the middle and there is a snap of bitterness from a woody earthened hop (Fuggles or Willamette?) that seems to linger in the finish forever.
A damn good pick, this is one of the few beers I could drink all night … that is pretty hard being that Beer Works usually has at least a dozen brews to choose from.
