Pours a slightly hazy yellow-gold, topped with a two finger creamy light tan head. Leaves a puffy sheet of lacing.
Quite a spicy aroma, grain, wood, grape, and tea notes.
Spicy, grainy, sweet taste, caramel and bread, butter, candylike base to it.
Medium-full bodied, the alcohol thins it out some, seems like it should be fuller.

I sampled this Tripel at the Salem location.
This ale poured a hazy, golden color with good white foam that left a nice coating down the glass. There was almost no smell from this tripel. The taste had some fruit flavors (pears and grapes), but this was modest. Candy sugar, hops, and alcohol could be tasted. The mouthfeel was slightly sweet on the tongue (lingering sweetness), and a bit warming. The drinkability was good. This is a decent ale, but seemed more like an Abbey Ale due to its lack of fruity esters.

On tap at the North Station location and served in a tall tulip glass.
Appearance: Dirty golden amber hue, very hazy with some nice lacing.
Smell: Dry toasted malt, vague fruit and a faint medicinal aroma.
Taste & Mouthfeel: A little slick and crisp in the mouth, moderate body. Big toasted biscuity flavours show a solid mark of maltiness. Some spicy hops come through and bind with the spicy sweet alcohol and phenols. Some sweetness from the yeasty fruitiness holds a little complexity.
Drinkability & Notes: A good stab at the style, I'd like to see a bit less hazy and more crispness. Then it would be great, though for now I have no problem drinking it.
