Taste is of raisin, caramel, toffee, and light chocolate. Medium bodied that has flavor, but leaves me wanting something more. Above average and certainly drinkable, but there are better in the style.

Poured on-tap in a stemmed vase, the beer is a slightly hazed, muddled, brown coloring with dull orange highlights and a thick, dense, foamy, light tan head. Aromas of syrupy sweetness, both nut and toffee, with some fruity highlights and a hint of booze. Flavors are richly sweet and roasty, with a toffee backbone supporting a touch of wood and char in the overlay. The body is surprisngly light for the style, as well as for the palate this beer carries. Chocolate and caramel notes blending for a sweet, smooth aftertaste, and there is a pepper spice and abrupt dryness in the finish when the hops presence finally rears its head. Decent brew.
