Drinking this at the White Street Brewery in Wake Forest NC on tap poured into a pint glass.
Appears dark amber, nice head and lacing.
Smells malty, caramel, vanilla.
Tastes like the nose, malt forward, sweet, caramel.
Mouth feel is medium for the style.
Overall a little too sweet for my taste.
Probably wouldn't order again, but I will say this is a good beer, just too sweet for my particular taste.

@ White Street
Deep copper with great clarity and a nice head of lumpy foam that leaves behind decent lacing. Lovely toasted malt aromas, brown sugar, nuts, straw, and a clean yeast character. Flavors of rich nutty malt, toast, light caramel, and a leafy/earthy hop bitterness. Medium-light and smooth. A well-made, nicely balanced Altbier. I’ve liked pretty much everything I’ve tried thus far from these guys, especially with their German styles.
