Draft pour into a shaker pint. Pours a medium gold amber with a half finger off-white head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of bready malt, citrus and mildly piney hops, nice. Flavor is rich biscuit malt, citrus and grassy hops with light pine, develops some light resin, finishing with a well integrated grassy and citrus resinous hop finish. Medium bodied with good carbonation. The biscuit malt body is more like a rich ESB, but the hop profile is more typical Western IPA. This is a nice combination and it is a pleasant change to have the more British malt profile with good Western hop bill. Flavor has great depth for the session level ABV, impressive. I enjoyed this at lunch and would like to run across this again. Good introduction to this brewery.
