an excellent ipa here, west coast, clear, fresh, delicious. sounds like this beer has undergone a few changes from batch to batch, but its drinking mighty well right now, super fresh. a lot of grain on it, rusty orange in color and some definite wheat fluffing up the body, but its never sweet or heavy, just drinks hearty and balanced, northwestern to me with all the green bitterness from the hops and some of the hop oils swirling around in here. it holds its head supremely well, and i get a nice frothy beer mustache each time i take a drink. the nose shows some mosaic type pineapple to it, a pine tree forest sort of vibe maybe from centennial, and a simcoe sort of oily weedy thing, all of this is there in the flavor. its balanced though, even being this hop forward and robust, and the freshness radiates. i think the soft carbonation helps me feel the hops as i taste them, which i love, and the wheat in here extends this longer than most of them go. sharp center of the tongue intensity on the swallow, especially as it warms, but the balance remains. perhaps not the most unique ipa in the game, but a really well made beer and just right for those freezing minnesota winters. these guys are doing a nice job across a range of styles right now!

This is a high quality IPA that reminds of the type of IPA's that were much more prevalent from perhaps a decade ago.
A lot of tobacco, ganja, bong resin to this...weedy....floral in some regards....a bit of pine....perfect body and carbonation. Nice tight bitterness on the finish.
Refreshing take on an IPA in this fruit forward IPA world.
