very tasty little beer here, a shade less than perfectly dialed in on a few aspects, but its great, natural on the watermelon, and drinkable for being slightly stronger than most of these are. i think this is the first sour i have had or seen from these guys. its a little still looking, muted and hazy in the glass, blonde but near lifeless. the aroma is awesome, its immediately watermelon, no mistaking it, very summery as such, and clean on the tartness and not too sour, some lemon notes as well, minerals, dry too, short of mouthwatering but real appealing. the flavor is great too, the watermelon has some fleshy juicy character as well as some green hard rindy bitterness which i like a lot too, almost a cucumber water complexion for a second, citrus in the souring profile, but really mellow acidity. a light wheat malt note below the fruit, and this is good and dry which is rad. a very summery flavor profile overall, not too sour to drink a bunch of, a pretty clean on the souring too. i wish it had more carbonation, the feel doesnt match the flavor well, but it is nice and light. enjoyable overall, fantastic use of the watermelon, which is what stands out more than anything else here. a tricky ingredient and they nailed it here!
