Dark amber, bright, ruby edges. The foam disappears quickly.
Full malty smell. A lot of dry fruit (nuts). Plums, candy orange. Some spicy, piquant notes.
Maybe ginger. Again fruitiness, cherry, some liquorous note, raisins.
Full in the mouth, body medium to high. A bit of alcohol is noticeable, but it's ok.
Lightly liquorous in the aftertaste. Sherry. Fruits in alcohol, dry fruit, almond, candy orange, raisins.
Good barley wine.
