I am taking a (very) brief hiatus from the eradication of The Bottle Backlog here at Chez Woody to get back to what really matters: The CANQuest (tm)! This was a recent gift from a member of the FGBS Drinking Team & I wanted to get it in sooner rather than later.
From the CAN: "Drink Fresh, Drink Now."
I Crack!ed open the CAN, but it was another pounder, plus it was also brimful, so an inverted Glug was out of the question. A gentle pour looked like they do not believe in filtration as it was as thick & cloudy as fresh-squeezed orange juice. It was also highly carbonated and formed a finger of dense, rocky, tawny head all on its own, unbidden by a swirl. Color was a cloudy Amber (SRM = > 7, < 9). Nose held the now-familiar cornucopia of tropical fruits - pineapple, guava, mango, papaya & tangerine & my hophead mouth began to water in anticipation. Mouthfeel was medium to full, not quite creamy, but still big on my tongue. The taste was right in line with the nose - very tropical fruity and yet not overly sweet. Conversely, nor was it really bitter, either. It had a bit of a caramel malt backbone which also helped to keep the bitterness to a reasonable level, for some, I happen to enjoy a high-IBU beer. Finish was semi-dry, very tasty and actually kind of refreshing.

Really delicious DIPA. It's exactly how I like my IPA's which is hoppy, but not bitter. Delicious

Great wet hopped dipa! Brewed with exclusively Australian whole cone hops shipped directly to vault. Tried it both on tap and from the can and it's anot amazing beer. Alcohol is well hidden whichave giveaway to a nice body. Beer is full of fragrant hops that dominate how youd want them to! Great beer!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
