From a 16oz can dated 9/25/17 so perhaps not the freshest. Pours a slightly cloudy copper color with a nice head. Subdued nose of citrus, pine and caramel. Very nice palate and crisp. A very enjoyable, drinkable pale ale.

Appearance: dark amber in color with some orange highlights. Thick 2" head slowly falls and creates a thick lace.
Smell: light earthy tones and some citrus are all you can detect.
Taste: caramel, bread, sweet red grapefruit, mild earthiness, and some spiciness from the rye.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied. Crisp to start, less crisp at the finish. Refreshing qualities too.
Overall: a very good beer from Vault, the first one I have had from a can. Well balanced and a few can be had in a session.

Pint can to 16oz Spiegelau IPA glass. Pours partly cloudy amber.. nice off-white head that recedes to a snow-like blanket. Minimal lacing.
Aroma is inviting.. citrus, pine, caramel malts, mildly spiced. Taste is all about balance. This citrus is heavy on the orange side, but leaves plenty of room for the mild pine, rye and caramel flavors. MF is medium, smooth with a balanced experience through out.
Overall balance, and a fantastic MF is the difference. Nicely done Vault!

16oz pour on-tap.
Appearance
Beautiful amber/ruby red hue with 1-2 finger of white head. Good clarity and retention. Moderately carbonated.
Nose
Orange citrus, hints of tropical fruits, rye and caramel.
Taste
Tons of orange citrus. Navel orange, tangerine and clementine. Undercurrents of tropical fruits such as pineapple. Light notes of spicy rye and hints of pine sap. Everything is nicely balanced with caramel malts.
Mouthfeel
Medium bodied, juicy, crisp and clean.
Overall
This certainly exceeded my expectations! Really juicy and bright with hops. Nicely balanced and very drinkable.
