Disappointed, regular ipa yellow color, faint aroma, weak taste, no aftertaste, no citrus, blah.

This head is a little too white and fluffy, a warning sign that this might be typical of Vault Brewing's tendency to over wheating their beers. It came by way of pouring a pint can into a clear Imperial pint glass. The color is a light amber, on the opaque side. There's not much of an aroma, another sign there may be too much wheat in the wort. It's nicely hoppy and light on the palate. But the body is also light and there's not enough there to offer another taste dimension from the brew. This drinks like a session beer, obviously with a bigger kick, mildly hoppy and light in mouthfeel, so anyone looking for a solid malt body and/or a complex hoppiness, won't find satisfaction here. Yet, it tastes pretty good and should appeal to those that don't like their IPAs richer or hoppier.

First time drinking this beer. Vault brewing is eastern PA brewery and not too far from where i live.
Poured from a 16oz can into a stem glass.
Moderate head when poured, that dissipated quickly. Little lacing left on glass.
Nice copper color and opaque.
Aroma is fruity sweet and maybe some pineyness coming through.
Taste is sweet in the beginning with strong hop palate through out, with a strong hoppy backbone. There is an almost bubblegum like taste (or creamsicle like they suggest) that comes through the more you drink.
Mouthfeel is hoppy and crisp with 'dank' hop backbone on the finish.
Overall, a pretty good beer, but did not send me over the moon. I will continue to drink my 4pak of 16oz cans and enjoy the rest of this beer.
Nice.

16oz can purchased from the fridge as a single for $3.49. PKG on 8/28/2020, so this is just under 8 weeks old.
Look: Medium golden orange color. It was crystal clear until I poured the bottom of the can. I was a bit surprised to see some sediment, and the beer had a soft haze. Quarter-inch fluffy off-white head, decent retention and lacing.
Smell: Nice aromas. Lots of orange peel, almost like marmalade, mango, papaya, and a bit of spiciness up front. There are some dank notes underneath, and I get a bit of onion on the finish.
Taste: A fair amount of sweetness up front - caramel malt - along with that orange peel and burnt orange character. The finish is crisp and clean, along with a long-lingering and drying bitterness. The finish has a mild tropical flavor also. It's pleasant and refreshing. When I finished the glass, I got a lot of resinous pine flavor and dankness that was interesting. There is a solid malt backbone here that is balanced well by the generous hop bill. 6.4% ABV is not easily discernible.
Feel: Medium carbonation. Medium mouthfeel. Crisp and clean.
Overall: A very nice west coast IPA. I was kind of hoping for a bit more complexity given the usage of five different hop varieties. But the recipe makes them work together nicely and I can pick up on familiar notes of almost all of them. I'm a fan of this style - there need to be more west coast IPAs like this that use modern hops or a mixture of old school and new school hop varieties.

Appearance: Pours just a slightly hazy golden color with a firm two fingers of foam stacked above; webby lacing
Smell: Slightly dank, with a citrusy aroma; vague peach and apricot tones
Taste: Hints of apricot and peach, up front, devolving into the dank territory with some tangerine and pith; moderate bitterness complements the sweeter fruit tones through the finish; a touch of onion in the aftertaste
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: A nice IPA that is very drinkable, while balancing the elements
Thanks, The_Kriek_Freak, for the opportunity
