New England IPA hopped with Amarillo & El Dorado. A serious juice bomb bursting with notes of papaya, peach rings and overripe honeydew with a subtle yet welcome bitterness.

Healthy three finger head, off white to maybe very light tan in color, above average retention, moderate stickiness in the lacing. The liquid is a translucent orange hue that just falls short of opacity, you can watch the bubbles break the surface and reinvigorate the head. Very crisp nose, edgy dankness close to cigar leaf than marijuana, close to dominated by orange zest, the pine sap and floral dew help ground it in the nostrils, touch of caramel, the fruit stays mainly in the peach, apricot, nectarine range. Medium-bodied, releases well through the finish, clean without undue residue. Here too the bright and zesty citrus takes first place. The dankness isn't herbaceous but seems to add some textural heaviness in the mid-palate, like you can taste it gumming up the works. Carbonation level is great, cleansing and lifting. Mango and passion fruit get added to the mix. Never pushes itself too far. Which kind of makes me question it as a NEIPA. It's almost like the brewery decided they had to do the style to give the kids what they want. Anyway, good beer. (Canned 7/28/21)
