Can from Bayside Market in Milbridge. Pours a clear light amber gold with a finger of bubbly head, smell is muted malty/citrusy pine, taste follows the nose with robust malts up front followed by a nice bitter pine finish that lingers, feel is medium bodied, well carbonated, and dry. A pine bomb.

16oz can on a schooner in Bar Harbor. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of bubbly foam. It smelled of pine, citrus and roasted malt. Sweet malty taste with a piney bitterness and citrus kick. Medium bodied and sharp.

First time tasting the King Pine. I took a 16oz draft at Rollie's bar in Belfast, Maine. It poured a cold, golden, clear yellow with a bright white foamy 1/4 inch on top. It kept a full lacing all the way down. It was a refreshing, piny, deep tasting, hoppy ale. It had clean mouth feel, a nice, lightly bitter finish, but not an "in your face" bitter finish. It didn't have the typical NEIPA citrus or tropical notes. It also wasn't malty or sweet. It was a dank, bready, piny taste that I found surprisingly easy to drink. Great full flavor for an early fall, clear, chilly day.
