On tap at Mainely Meat in Bar Harbor, ME.

This one pours a light amber color, with a small head and lots of lacing.

Despite the suspect appearance for an IPA, this smells pretty good. There's sharp and juicy grapefruit here, with clean pine, and a bready malt backbone.

This was a pleasant surprise for sure. It's sharp and crisp, and well brewed. There's a big snappy grapefruit hoppy taste to it, bitter, but juicy and sweet as well, with some orange and general citrus, with a clean clinical bitterness on the finish. It's a little bit malty, but it's mostly supportive and doesn't overwhelm the hops at all.

This is light bodied, crisp, clean, and very drinkable, with a typical level of carbonation.

This surprised me. It's a very solid little IPA.

Pint on draft at the beer garden at Funtown in Saco. Party party.

Appearance: Hazy amber with a crown of film.

Aroma: Big citrus presence in the nose. Prickly hops. Pine. Nice nose.

Flavor: Huge grapefruit boom up front. Those prickly hops come in next. Very flavorful, hoppy, juicy IPA.

Mouthfeel: Booze is noticeable but doesn't overpower flavor. Not a pounder, but a nice beer for sure.

Overall: Interesting things are afoot on the Penobscot. Very well executed hoppy IPA.

Smell is piney melon and PEZ candy.

Taste is spicy pine, caramel, mint and grapefruit.
