500ml bottle poured into chalice 10/3/14 from notes
A clear amber with just a few slow bubbles making their way to a short lived finger of tan foam that leaves some polka dot lace on the way down
S grapefruit, tangerine, a little orange peel, lots of hard toffee and burnt brown sugar
T still has the citrus working for it and some pine comes out strong but its a little malty, even more toffee and brown sugar then the nose
M quite bitter, feels flat at first but creams up once you move it around, a little heat going sown but the booze is fairly well hidden
O tastes a little old but its a fresh bottle, not a bad beer but a little malty for the style
I can't believe I'm saying this but I think I might've finally had my fill of hops.... for today.
This ones OK but compared to some of the other Kiwi hop bombs I've had recently this one has some catching up to do.

Visiting NZ for a couple of weeks, saw this in a grocery store in Blenheim on the South Island and picked it up. Poured an amber/copper color with half an inch or so of head. Smell is pretty good, with citrus and unmistakeable dank hops. Taste wise pretty malty, not as hoppy as I expected. Could have been a bit more bitter in my opinion, but not bad. Was somewhat thick on the mouthfeel which I expected for the gravity. Glad I was able to try this.
