11 ounce pour - $5.00 at Taco Mac (Johns Creek) in Suwanee, Georgia.

Appearance: A darkish, walnut brown body with a thin, wispy, dusted ivory head.

Smell: Toasted, nutty malts, some crackling roast, some ineffusive chocolate powder with a peculiar pinch of curious spices.

Taste: Alright, no more mollycoddling, it's time to set Turbo loose, baby! Toast, roast and cocoa. Earthy herbs, medium-light bitterness. Slowly emerging, an odd taste perks up, a hint of Chinese Five Spice, which drags through the finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-plus carbonation.

Overall: Twin Turbo was not particularly good. Sorry, just had to make that clear.

Dark brown pour with a tan one-finger head. Light malty aroma. Taste has a bit of nut and malt upfront backed by a very light bitterness. Thin body. Roasted flavor comes out more as the beer warms.

Poured into a plastic cup at Hops & Habanas grand opening.

A: Chocolate brown with a tan half finger head that lingers. Thick lacing.

S: English malts, dark chocolate, nuts.

T: A real letdown from regular Turbodog. I expected this one to kick it up a few notches, but it was more of a toned-down version of Turbodog. Slightly bitter malts, some chocolate and nuttiness, but no excitement.

M: Medium with medium carbonation. Dry.

O: One and done. Abita's Select series is usually stellar, but this one didn't make the cut. Bring me some Machiato Espresso Milk Stout.
