16 ounce pour - $7.00 at World of Beer in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Appearance: Lightly hazed, dingy-looking gold body with a whitish head.

Smell: An aroma of mashed 'nanas, butter-flavored popcorn powders, some wheat and some clove. Hard to discern any chocolate.

Taste: Buttered bananas, malted wheat and a little hint of citrus, cloves. Sorry, picking up near nil on the chocolate character with this one. Empty, thinnish finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Lightly carbonated.

Overall: Atrocious. Failed at being a refreshing weissbier, failed at a chocolate beer.

On-tap:

Pours very dark brown with a thin head that lasts most of the drink. Lacing sticks.

The smell is of chocolate covered bananas.

The taste is of chocolate covered bananas with some dark caramel. Sweet, but touch of clove spice keeps it from being too sweet. Creamy body.

An interesting, unique brew. Chocolate and banana blend well together.

First had on draft into tumbler. Very little chocolate presence in this beer. Rather resembles my Granddad's old Weissbier home brew from the '60s and '70s.

On tap. Poured medium brown with small lacing. Lacing disappeared over time, gone after @5 min. Smell seems more like a cheap Belgian knock off than dunkel. Very long get chocolate. Expected more. Don't smell any esters of Banana or Clove I usually smell on dunkel's and hefe's. Very little chocolate taste. Slight sugary taste that builds over time. Low IBU, low malt. Reminds me of a lager. Overall a decent beer, but not a good representative of a chocolate-based beer or a dunkel: even an American approximation of one.
