Pours into a large tulip glass a hazed tangerine color with a thick one finger bone white head that settles very slowly into a frothy mass.Sharp aspirin-like notes in the nose along with lemon oils and mild phenols.Quite yeasty on the palate and on the drier side, some spicy hops come thru in the finish.A little sharp in the mouth. Not bad but not a real good example of the style,I usually like my BIPA to be more brighter in flavor.

Happy 30th guys! Wow time flys, I remember Turbo Dog being one the first crafts imported to Florida.
This brew is a nice take on a Belgian IPA. I just wish there was more to it. Somewhat boring but still enjoyable.

L: Poured from a bottle to a goblet. Had a bright orange-yellow color and a cloudy consistency. There was a thin, foamy head that dissipated quickly. Average lacing.
S: A mixed bag with the aroma, with light fruit, hops, and yeast mingling with a strangely dank quality.
T:The taste was pretty much like the smell: A good shot of light fruit, some hops, Belgian yeast, a bit of spiciness (coriander, maybe?), and the aforementioned dankness. This last quality, coupled with a cardboard-like finish, makes for an uneven (to say the least) flavor.
F: A good amount of carbonation with a very dry finish. Medium-bodied.
O: This is a beer that seems like it would be good, but quickly goes downhill. Certainly not worthwhile.

Abita 30th Anniversary Ale has a very thick, spongy, bone-colored head of foam, a hazy, bubbly, gold appearance, and significant lacing left behind. The aroma is of spiced pale holiday bread, banana, coriander, and hard candy. Taste is of all that, with a mild, yet noticeable bitterness (wouldn't think it was 65, though). Mouthfeel is medium, and Abita 30th Anniversary Ale finishes on the dry side. Dangerously drinkable, for a 7% bomber. RJT

Just recently tried it at their 30 anniversary. Not so much of an IPA drinker but I found myself drinking many 22's over the past couple of weeks.
