It's a cream ale which is supposed to be a laid back drink that is easy on the palate. I like this cream ale a lot, the purple rice gives it a nice touch & the cream soda effect comes in slightly near the backend. I am a big pale lager drinker so a beer like Abita Creole Cream Ale suits me perfect, this beer is highly recommend from me if your new to the cream ale style. Cheers! B

Nice dark amber with a 2” head that lasted a goos 2 min. In indistinguishable aromas, but reminds me of a lager. Slight bitterness, with a good clean taste. Good for hot days or after mowing the lawn.

Nabbed a sixer on-sale for $3.99 USD in Austin, TX.
A loose hodgepodge of flavours lacking direction and balance.
Rice lager? Cream ale? IPL? I'd never know blind, but that's testament to how indistinct it is.
I do like the subdued floral and fruity hop flavours, but overall it's wanting. I think I prefer Genny.

Poured into a narrow pint glass: color is gold, good effervescence, head is off white with fine to small bubbles, presents 1/2 inch thick, and laces the glass well.
Smell is quite pleasant - mild toasted malt, bread note, hint of hops.
Taste follows with simple yet well executed flavors - toasted malt, light bread and drying after some light sweetness. Simple, easy drinking with moderate hops Hop flavor is subdued but is present. Flavor is quite full for the base style, a bit more barley malt flavor and breadiness than Genny Cream with similar crisp carbonation.
Mouthfeel is crisp, moderate to strong carbonation, lingering presence on the tongue.
Overall a good Cream Ale with some pleasant bread and solid crisp flavor.

Pours clear gold in color with one inch head. Taste is grain, pineapple and earthy hops. Light bodied with moderate carbonation and sweet. Makes for an interesting and fruity ale.

Poursa clear gold that has a slight amber tint in it along with both a decent white head and some clinging side glass lace.
AROMA: I get some peppered hops and a backdrop of malts with a faint vanilla.
TASTE: Malts with some lemon and the aforementioned vanilla.
Creamy mouth feel, crisp, but flavor is fairly ordinary.
